Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) Types and Required Documents:

1. Class 2 Digital Signature Certificate
   • What it is: A DSC for secure online transactions and e-filing, widely used for income tax and GST filings.
   • Documents Required:
     • PAN and Aadhaar (or other government-issued ID) of the applicant
     • Passport-sized photo of the applicant
     • Address proof (utility bill, bank statement)
     • Application form for DSC (signed)
2. Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate
   • What it is: A higher-security DSC required for e-tendering, e-bidding, and other high-level secure transactions.
   • Documents Required:
     • PAN and Aadhaar (or passport, voter ID) of the applicant
     • Passport-sized photo of the applicant
     • Address proof (utility bill, bank statement)
     • DSC application form (signed)
     • Authorization letter (for company-related DSC applications)
3. DGFT Digital Signature Certificate
   • What it is: A specialized DSC for entities involved in import and export, required for transactions with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
   • Documents Required:
     • PAN of the business entity
     • Authorization letter for the applicant (if applicable)
     • Passport-sized photo of the applicant
     • Import Export Code (IEC) of the business
     • Business address proof
     • DSC application form (signed)
